Welded HDPE fittings are segmental fittings for HDPE pipes, which are made of low-pressure polyethylene grades PE80 and PE100. HDPE welded fittings are often referred to as segment fittings, because welded fittings are made from segments (separate parts) of polyethylene pipes. The process of manufacturing welded fittings from low-pressure polyethylene is as follows: first, from a polyethylene pipe, using a band saw, separate segments are cut for the future fitting, then by butt welding, using welding machines for HDPE pipes, these segments are welded together at the right angles .
The main purpose of HDPE segment fittings is to connect polyethylene pipes in places of the pipeline where its direction changes: branches and turns. Polyethylene welded fittings are ideal for connecting HDPE pipes, as they are made from the same material as the pipes themselves, respectively, and have the same properties and technical characteristics, which makes the pipeline system very reliable
