Electrofusion fittings
Electrofusion fittings for water and gas from Polimer Group Asia
Polimer Group Asia offers a full range of electrofusion fittings for polyethylene pipes with diameters from 50 to 1000 mm. These products are used in water supply, gas supply, sewage, and industrial pipeline systems.
What are electrofusion fittings?
Electrofusion (electrowelded) fittings are connecting elements made of PE100 polyethylene with a built-in heating coil. When an electric current is applied, the coil heats the inner surface of the fitting and the outer surface of the pipe, causing the plastic to melt and form a strong, sealed connection.
The main types of electrofusion fittings are:
Couplings — connections between pipes of the same diameter.
Elbows — change the direction of the pipeline (45°, 90°).
Tees — branch or combine flows.
Reducers — connect pipes of different diameters.
Saddles (cut-ins) — connect to an existing pipeline.
End caps — sealing the end of a pipe.
Application:
Drinking and technical water supply.
Low and medium pressure gas pipelines.
Sewer pressure systems.
Industrial pipelines for chemically resistant liquids.
How electrofusion welding is performed:
Pipe preparation — cleaning and removing the top layer (oxidized surface) with a scraper.
Marking the insertion depth — so that the pipe enters the fitting to the required distance.
Fixing the parts — the pipe and fitting are secured in the centering device to prevent displacement.
